Digital Grocery Store

This weeks blog is a little different from my last two blogs. I decided to delve into the definition of design outside of interior spaces. In this post I offer you a peak into the North Korean grocery market. One of the chain stores that operate there was trying to figure out how to increase sales without increasing their amount of physical stores. The design that they came up with involves the subway system, QR codes, and visually realistic imagery. Watch the video and check out the article below.

Mobile Smart Phone Grocery Shopping in Subway Stations

I found this super interesting because if I commuted like they do I would love something like this. I have spent a lot of time around transit stations like this and there is quite a bit of down time in between trains. Also, grocery shopping isn’t my favorite task so combining the two sounds like a great idea to me! Leave me any comments or inspiration of your own below. Thanks.
